フィールドバリスタミルにはコットン風の収納袋は付属してきますが、より無骨さが欲しいという方のために、イタリアンレザーVIVIDOを使用したフィールドバリスタミル専用のレザーケースを製作しました。
フィールドバリスタミル レザーケースは、上下2つのパーツをフィールドバリスタミル本体に差し込むような形で収納します。
上下のパーツはサイズが異なっており、ミル本体をしっかりと差し込むと縫い目がチラリと見える絶妙なサイズ感となっています。
細いパーツ（キーホルダー等が留められるカンと呼ばれる金具がついたもの）をミル本体の下から、太いパーツをミル本体の上部からそれぞれ差し込みます。
側面のレザーは縫い目が1箇所クロスステッチがあるのみなので、写真を撮る際にアクセントとして縫い目を入れたり、コーヒーや料理を引き立たせるために縫い目のない部分を見せたりと、使用勝手を高めています。
フィールドバリスタミルは、取っ手を折りたたんで収納します。
その際、取っ手がミル本体下部に来るため、そのままでは直立させておくことができない構造になっています。
このフィールドバリスタミル レザーケースを使用すれば、ミル本体下部が平らになるため、ミルを直立して収納させることができるようになります。
収納作業の際に、不意に倒れてくることがないためより楽に収納作業を進めることができます。
レザーのカット断面（コバ）の処理は、染料で染めずに1箇所ずつ丁寧に専用道具で「ロウを染み込ませて焼き込み」をしています。
こうすることでしっかりとラインが入るだけでなく、自然と黒く染まるため、1つ1つのアイテムで表情が異なり、ハンドメイドらしい世界に1つだけの特別感が生まれます。
また、レザーの断面を焼くことで強度が増すので、長く使っていただくことができます。
使用しているレザー「ヴィヴィド」は、イタリアのサンタクローチェ地方にあるVirgilio社が製造しています。
ヴィヴィドは、レザー表面にあらかじめスクラッチ加工が施されています。
汚れや傷つきやすいキャンプギアとの相性も抜群です。
また、ヴィヴィドにはオイルがたっぷりと染み込んだレザーです。
レザー表面はそのスクラッチ加工により、少しザラザラとしていますが、触っていたり使い込んでいくと使い込むほどに艶が増していき、一般的なレザーよりも光沢が出てくることが特徴です。
ノクターンレザーケースVIVDO（ヴィヴィド）には、かなり深いグリーンの縫い糸を使用しています。
Ninjin Leather Factoryで使用している縫い糸は、「MEISI Super Fine麻糸」と呼ばれる高級メゾンでも使用されている最高品質のものを使用しています。
しっかりとした強度がありながら、しなやかさも持ち合わせています。
触ってもベタつきが少なく、程よいオイルの染み込みにより、ある程度水にも強くなっています。
