SOTO（ソト）のガストーチ専用ケース『SOTO ガストーチ レザーケース VIVIDO チョコレート』です。
（ガストーチは付属してきません。）
首が伸びて使いやすいソトのガストーチを、キャンプの雰囲気に合わせたレザーケースを製作しました。
ガストーチはCD缶（カセットコンロガス）で補充できるため、ケースから取り出さなくても補充できるようケース下部が開いたデザインにしています。
また、下部が開いていることでケースからガストーチを取り外す際に、下から押し出せば良いので着脱も簡単です。
カラビナを取り付けられるよう、小さめの四角いカンも付けていますので、様々な場所に引っ掛けてたり吊るしておくことができます。
SOTOガストーチにぴったりのサイズのため、使い始めはガストーチ本体の着脱は少々やりづらいかと思います。
その分、不意にレザーケースから本体がずれ落ちる心配もなく、安心してお使いいただけます。
レザーのカット断面（コバ）の処理は、染料で染めずに1箇所ずつ丁寧に専用道具で「ロウを染み込ませて焼き込み」をしています。
こうすることでしっかりとラインが入るだけでなく、自然と黒く染まるため、1つ1つのアイテムで表情が異なり、ハンドメイドらしい世界に1つだけの特別感が生まれます。
また、レザーの断面を焼くことで強度が増すので、長く使っていただくことができます。
同レザーで他のアイテムも製作しています。
カラーリングを合わせると、統一感のあるおしゃれなキャンプテーブルとして彩りを与えてくれます。
使用しているレザー「ヴィヴィド」は、イタリアのサンタクローチェ地方にあるVirgilio社が製造しています。
ヴィヴィドは、レザー表面にあらかじめスクラッチ加工が施されています。
汚れや傷つきやすいキャンプギアとの相性も抜群です。
また、ヴィヴィドにはオイルがたっぷりと染み込んだレザーです。
レザー表面はそのスクラッチ加工により、少しザラザラとしていますが、触っていたり使い込んでいくと使い込むほどに艶が増していき、一般的なレザーよりも光沢が出てくることが特徴です。
snow peak ギガパワーガス250g ガス缶（OD缶）レザーカバーには、かなり深いグリーンの縫い糸を使用しています。
Ninjin Leather Factoryで使用している縫い糸は、「MEISI Super Fine麻糸」と呼ばれる高級メゾンでも使用されている最高品質のものを使用しています。
しっかりとした強度がありながら、しなやかさも持ち合わせています。
触ってもベタつきが少なく、程よいオイルの染み込みにより、ある程度水にも強くなっています。
ギガパワーガス250g レザーカバーのステッチは、かなり細かく縫っています。
無骨な印象のあるレザーカバーですが、ステッチをシックなカラーにし、ステッチを細かくすることで上品さも兼ね備えています。
サイズはスノーピークのOD缶であるギガパワーガス250gに合わせて作成しています。
